Alagaddūpamasutta (The Discourse on the Simile of the Water Snake)
19M/3.2, the second discourse of the Majjhima Nikāya's Opammavagga: the bhikkhu Ariṭṭha holds that the obstructive things do not obstruct, and the Bhagavā teaches the wrongly grasped water snake and the raft, the six grounds for views, not-self in the five collections, and the fruits of the well-proclaimed Dhamma.
Pālileyyasutta (The Discourse at Pālileyya)
2At Pālileyyaka, having left Kosambī alone, the Bhagavā answers a bhikkhu's unspoken question of how one must know and see for the defilements to be destroyed immediately: every view of self, eternalism, annihilationism and doubt are mental constructions born of craving, impermanent and dependently originated (13S3/1.2.3.9, Khandhasaṃyutta).
